Transport to Berlin

Driving Yourself to Berlin

If you are driving yourself, please use the Waze app.  Google Maps will take you the wrong way when coming from the beach.

If you have to use Google Maps via the beach road, drive until you arrive at the Usulutan roundabouts, do not turn off the main road before hand. Seriously, it will be a bad time.

Driving Services

If you would like someone to drive you, consider the following services.

Public Transport

If you would like an experience, you can take a public bus.

  • Direct 303 bus from San Salvador
  • Leaving San Salvador 6am, 1pm, 2pm

We have also heard of people hitching a ride, for the more adventurous.

Drive Times, Road Conditions, Tips

We recommend you budget about 3 hours drive time.  Consider times of day, holidays and busy traffic that goes with those.

The road condition is generally good.  Be wary of normal potholes for El Salvador.  If unfamiliar or un comfortable with driving at night, plan to travel during the day.
